Build IT: Live Edge Desk for my Mom - Part One

Alright, big project time! Actually this will be the largest thing I’ve ever built to date. This build evolved while having a conversation with my parents about my project list, and the list of things that need to get done around their farm, my Mom asked if I could build her a new desk.

Of course she told me it wasn’t a priority, and only to do it if I had the time… Well I put the next project to all of you for a vote and the majority vote was “dude, it’s for your Mom, you’ve gotta do that” So here we are!

This is my first project using wood that Glenn and I milled last year, some beautiful Black Ash that came from the Gardens of Castle Rock. The foundation of the design is modified from FineWoodworking’s Live edge Trestle table plans.
